Inverness’ first whisky bar, The Malt Room is a cosy, intimate and welcoming place where people can come together to relax and enjoy great whisky. MADE BY THE SEA – TALISKER

Produced at the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye, Talisker Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been made by the sea since 1830, with its smell and taste instantly connecting you to its rugged maritime home. Immensely satisfying stuff, with whiffs of warm peat blending with coastal air, it is a truly spectacular dram paired with seafood – especially oysters

The benchmark of quality, a truly distinctive icon and delivers exceptional taste every time. Matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, it is full of all those hallmark dried fruit and woodspice notes

The 16 year old has truly become a benchmark Islay dram. Its aromas of peat, smoke, and sea salt are not for the faint hearted but inspires fanatical devotion in its many followers

Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask (43%)
A modern classic. Initially aged in traditional oak casks before it was finished in casks which previously held Caribbean rum. Expect vanilla and toffee notes as the rum contributes extra sweetness to the flavours

Made using soft Outer Hebridean waters from the Abhainn Cnoc a ’Charrain, which runs over the oldest rocks on earth, and 100% Scottish Concerto barley that was lightly peated at 12-15ppm
