Our festive menu is available from Tuesday 3rd December through to Saturday 28th December and is only available on a pre booked basis

£44.50 pp

A deposit of £20 per person is required to secure your booking. If cancelled giving more than 24 hours’ notice, your deposit will be refunded

Our full menu is also available during this period.

 

STARTERS

 

Burrata
Served with a salad of blood orange, cashew nuts and winter leaf. Drizzled with a mulled wine glaze

River House Shellfish Cocktail
Orkney crab, Atlantic prawns, crayfish and brown shrimps with crispy kos lettuce, heritage tomatoes and cucumber. Topped with a rich Marie Rose sauce and caviar. Served with sourdough wafers

Cullen Skink
Traditional and hearty. Smoked haddock, leek, potato and cream soup. Served with crusty bread

Chicken Liver Parfait
Dressed leaf, caramelised red onion chutney and sourdough wafers

 

 

MAIN

 

Pan Roasted North Sea Cod
Served with a clam, chorizo and mixed bean cassoulet. Drizzled with a gremolata

Pasta Primavera
Fresh tagliatelle tossed with butternut squash, mushrooms, leeks and cavolo nero in a crème fraiche and lemon zest sauce. Finished with a vegetarian parmesan and fresh parsley.

Pan Roasted Fillet of Sea Trout
Served with a confit of winter greens and crispy potato gnocchi. Finished with a hazelnut and brown shrimp butter

Chargrilled Scottish Sirloin Steak
Cooked pink and carved. Served with french fries and a peppercorn sauce (£5.00 supplement)

Classic crème brûlée with a splash of Drambuie, served with raspberries and homemade shortbread
